NO ZOMBIE
LEFT BEHIND
Pixel-art city full of confused zombies, dubious storefronts, and a rescue ambulance taking a corner rather enthusiastically.

DEPARTMENT OF UNDEAD AFFAIRS

THEY WANT
BRAINS.
YOU HAVE
OTHER PLANS.

Cure the undead. Rescue the living. Get everyone to the helicopter. Preferably in that order.

A pixel-art arcade rescue game. Terrible odds. Excellent intentions.

NO ONE GETS
LEFT BEHIND.YES, EVEN THAT GUY.
NO ZOMBIE LEFT BEHINDRESCUE FIRST. PANIC AS NEEDED.
THE APOCALYPSE HAS A STAFFING PROBLEM.YOU’RE HIRED.BENEFITS INCLUDE STILL BEING ALIVE.

01 / YOUR EXTREMELY REASONABLE MISSION

SAVE THE WORLD.
ONE BAD DECISION AT A TIME.

Most zombie games ask you to mow down the problem. This one gives you a cure, a squad to protect, and a helicopter you really shouldn’t miss.

A small skull-faced rescuer carries a zombie toward an ambulance marked Zombie Rescue Squad.
ART FROM THE GAME / COMPASSION, WITH A SIDE OF PANIC
01

A little less undead.

Find syringes and cure zombies back into citizens. Turns out “have you tried being alive?” works better with medicine.

02

Congratulations. You’re responsible.

Rally survivors into your squad and lead them through the chaos. They follow you. Your leadership credentials remain unclear.

03

Please mind the rotor blades.

Reach the helipad, call in extraction, and get your people aboard. Then go back for more. Apparently heroism is a recurring appointment.

02 / CONDITIONS IN THE FIELD

CUTE CITY.
ABSOLUTE DISASTER.

A new city every run. Escalating waves. Traffic that did not attend your safety briefing.

  • Find your own way out. Fresh procedural streets make memorizing the escape route a deeply optimistic hobby.
  • Make a scene. Jump, block, fight, and take the wheel. Your insurance provider would like a word.
  • Come back better equipped. Earn coins for loadouts and permanent upgrades. Experience is valuable. A better weapon also helps.

03 / STANDARD-ISSUE QUESTIONABLE EQUIPMENT

A TOOL FOR EVERY PROBLEM.
SEVERAL NEW PROBLEMS INCLUDED.

Choose your coping mechanism. These are actual items from the game, which is somehow less reassuring.

Healthcare. With aim assist.

Two syringe hits turn a zombie back into a citizen. Every pickup gives you three shots. Missing is an expensive way to practice compassion.

SIDE EFFECT: A PERSON YOU NOW HAVE TO RESCUE.

04 / BEFORE YOU SIGN ANYTHING

REASONABLE
QUESTIONS.

Unreasonably candid answers.

Wait. I’m saving the zombies?

Yes. Syringes can cure zombies back into citizens. Rally those citizens, protect your squad, and get them to the helicopter. The name is a mission statement, which is inconvenient for everyone involved.

Can I still fight things?

Very much. Melee weapons, ranged weapons, grenades, jumping, and timed shield blocks help you survive escalating enemy waves. Compassion is the plan. A sword is the contingency plan.

Is it the same city every time?

No. Arcade generates a fresh city for each new run, with streets, buildings, traffic, and a rescue helipad. Your terrible sense of direction gets a fresh challenge.

Do I have to figure this out alone?

The in-game tutorial walks you through movement, combat, vehicles, curing, recruiting, and extraction. It’s training. Calling it “apocalypse onboarding” made everyone uncomfortable.

FINE.
GO SAVE SOME ZOMBIES.

The apocalypse isn’t going to mismanage itself.

COMING TO iOS

The App Store paperwork is currently more alive than the citizens.

Review the mission. Again.
